Foundation repair sales training

A foundation appointment carries more fear than any other visit in the house: stair-step cracks, doors that stopped latching, water that finds the basement every rain. Spar trains foundation reps on the documented system — the one built for exactly this: don’t argue, diagnose.

The system

One playbook, run in order

The appointment runs the 7 steps in order: Entry, Warm-Up, Probing & Layering, Presentation, Pre-Close, Close, Button-Up. Probing is the inspection — cracks documented, levels read, water lines marked — and the homeowner’s own history of the house, layer by layer: when the door started sticking, which spring the corner moved, what the last heavy rain left behind.

When the objection comes, it runs the documented 7-stage framework in full — release pressure, ask permission, gather feedback, isolate, empathize, respond, re-close — because in this trade the first objection (‘it’s too expensive’) is almost never the real one. Is it really the investment? gets asked properly, and the answer gets diagnosed before it gets answered.

The Contingency Close belongs here: commitment first, solution second — the documented order for a project where some findings finish revealing themselves only once work begins. The investment is spoken in the system’s language, and nobody is ever promised what the ground has not shown yet.

Step deep dive

Probing & Layering: the house tells its history

Foundation probing is detective work with a level and a flashlight: every crack is a sentence, and the layering questions — when, how fast, what changed — turn the homeowner’s observations into the documented scope. Findings first, presentation second, investment last.

That sequence is drilled in Fight Camp against a homeowner who does not make it easy. See how Fight Camp works.

Training by trade

One system, every trade

The playbook does not change with the product — the door pitch, the 7 steps, the objection framework, and the twelve closes run in every in-home trade. Spar trains all of them:
