Fencing sales training

A fence appointment walks the line — the leaning run, the gate that drags, the stretch the dog has been studying for weakness. Spar trains fencing reps on the documented system: the number waits for the walk, and the close happens at the table.

The system

One playbook, run in order

The curb ask in this trade is a per-foot figure, and it gets the documented Ballpark Figure rebuttal: a fence is runs, corners, gates, and ground — none of which a per-foot guess can see. The appointment gets set, the line gets walked, and the 7 steps run in order: Entry, Warm-Up, Probing & Layering, Presentation, Pre-Close, Close, Button-Up.

Probing walks with them: why now — the pool going in, the dog, the neighbor’s new fence making theirs look tired. The Jones Effect is a documented rebuttal, and fences are where streets catch it from each other. The findings — the heaved post, the shared line, the slope — become the presentation.

My relative is a contractor lives here too, and gets its documented answer. The investment is presented in the system’s language — overall investment, monthly investment plan, approve, move forward — with both decision makers, because a fence line is a household border, not a solo decision.

The Close: measured, drawn, decided

Fencing closes the documented way: the walk reviewed, the runs and gates listed where the homeowner can see them, the reasons in their words — then the close. A figure agreed at the curb skips the steps that make the work order hold.

All twelve closes are drilled under their real names in Fight Camp. See how Fight Camp works.

Training by trade

One system, every trade

The playbook does not change with the product — the door pitch, the 7 steps, the objection framework, and the twelve closes run in every in-home trade. Spar trains all of them:

Eighteen objections decide most appointments. Each one, handled in a fencing setting with the documented framework:
