Generator sales training

Every generator homeowner has the same story: the night the power went out — the food, the cold, the sump pump going quiet. Spar trains generator reps on the documented system, and this trade’s whole close lives inside one documented idea: their reason to wait is usually the reason to move forward.

The system

One playbook, run in order

The appointment runs the 7 steps in order: Entry, Warm-Up, Probing & Layering, Presentation, Pre-Close, Close, Button-Up. Probing & Layering is the last outage, retold by the homeowner: how long it lasted, what it ruined, who was in the house. Build Pain needs nothing invented here — the memory is the evidence, and the documented layering questions bring it to the table.

We’re waiting until later is the trade’s core objection — later meaning after the season, after the next storm, someday. The documented framework isolates it properly, and the Reversal Close answers it in the system’s words: their reason to wait may be the reason to move forward. No invented urgency; the grid supplies its own.

The investment is presented in the system’s language — overall investment, monthly investment plan — with every decision maker present, because the night the power fails, both of them will remember this appointment.

Step deep dive

Button-Up: the install that sells the street

The documented Button-Up sets expectations, walks the finished work, and asks for the neighborhood — and a generator install ends with a test run the whole street can hear. The rep who buttons up properly owns the next outage conversation on that block before it happens.

Button-up is the seventh step on every Spar scorecard — most reps skip it; the system doesn’t. See how Fight Camp works.

Training by trade

One system, every trade

The playbook does not change with the product — the door pitch, the 7 steps, the objection framework, and the twelve closes run in every in-home trade. Spar trains all of them:

Objection deep dives

The 18 objections, in generator appointments

Eighteen objections decide most appointments. Each one, handled in a generator setting with the documented framework:
