Insulation sales training

Insulation is the invisible project: once it is in, nobody sees it — they feel it, in the room that finally holds its temperature. Spar trains insulation reps on the documented system, and this trade runs on its most honest rule: sell the findings, never a projection.

The system

One playbook, run in order

The appointment runs the 7 steps in order: Entry, Warm-Up, Probing & Layering, Presentation, Pre-Close, Close, Button-Up. Probing starts with the house’s complaints — the bedroom over the garage, the floor that is cold every morning, the system that runs all day in August — then climbs into the attic, where the inspection documents what is actually there: thin spots, settled fill, bare patches over the rooms that complain the loudest.

Those findings are the presentation. The documented system never promises a homeowner a specific savings figure — it presents what was found, what the project does about it, and the overall investment, in the system’s language. A rep who sells documented findings keeps the street; a rep who sells invented numbers rents it.

Do-you-need-to-come-inside is a real question in this trade — the attic is the appointment — and the documented response answers it plainly. Both decision makers hear the findings, because comfort is a whole-household decision.

Probing & Layering: complaints first, attic second

The documented order matters: the homeowner’s complaints point the inspection, and the inspection confirms or corrects them. Layering questions move from the rooms to the reasons — a nursery going in, a parent moving into the cold room — until the real motive is on the table with the findings.

That order is drilled in Fight Camp until it is the only order you run. See how Fight Camp works.

Training by trade

One system, every trade

The playbook does not change with the product — the door pitch, the 7 steps, the objection framework, and the twelve closes run in every in-home trade. Spar trains all of them:

Objection deep dives

The 18 objections, in insulation appointments

Eighteen objections decide most appointments. Each one, handled in a insulation setting with the documented framework:

Scenario drills
