Price Objection Security

The system is designed, the monitoring is explained — and the whole conversation narrows to the monthly investment plan.

The setup

Price Objection in security

Security gets bought like a subscription and objected to like one: the equipment made sense, the 2 AM picture probing painted made sense, and then the homeowners' eyes settle on the recurring part — the monthly figure that never leaves. “It's just too expensive” here almost always means the monthly commitment hasn't been weighed against what it watches.

This round starts after the presentation, objection live. The documented framework separates the equipment investment from the monthly investment plan in the homeowners' minds before either gets answered.

What the round trains

Run it the documented way

The investment was already presented before this round began. Diagnose the objection first (value, affordability, or expectation), work the objection framework, earn the commitment, then re-close.

The round trains the diagnosis: release pressure, ask permission, gather feedback in order, isolate — is it the overall investment, the monthly plan, or the value of what it protects that isn't proven yet? Respond to the isolated one, in the system's language, and re-close.

How Spar scores it

The scorecard tells the truth

Every round ends in a scorecard — your language, your move, and whether both decision makers stayed in the conversation. This round is graded against the steps in scope — Probing & Layering, Pre-Close, Close, Button-Up — and the 7-stage objection framework.

The scorecard grades the isolation between the two numbers. Reps who answer the monthly objection by discounting the equipment — or the reverse — fail the beat; the pass names which figure is actually the barrier and answers only that.

The language scan runs on every round: the system’s words — approve, overall investment, work order, monthly investment plan, move forward — or the scorecard shows you where the wrong words leaked in.

Go deeper: the full objection — Is it really the investment?; the deep dive — Step 5 — Pre-Close; this trade’s other drill — Cold Door Knock; the Security track — Security sales training.

Spar’s documented system is trade-agnostic by design: the published position is that the sales psychology and the rebuttals are the same in every in-home trade — only the examples change. This page runs Spar’s documented rounds in a security setting; it does not present security-specific scripts.

The price objection is a round, not a surprise

In sparring, the homeowner pushes back the way yours will — talks back, interrupts, pushes on the money — and the scorecard grades the run against the documented system. Train the security version until the response is reflex — $29/month. Spar before you knock.
