Every Round Leaves a Scorecard

You cannot coach what you cannot see, and you never see your reps' appointments. Sparring is different: every round ends in a scorecard — the rep's language, the move he made, and whether both decision makers stayed in the conversation — graded against the documented system.

The grade

What the scorecard grades

  • Language. Did he use the words that move a homeowner forward — approve, overall investment, work order — or the ones that stall a table?
  • The move. Which close or framework stage he reached for, and whether it fit the moment he was actually in.
  • The room. Whether both decision makers stayed in the conversation — because an appointment that loses a decision maker was a practice round, however good it felt.

The scorecard is delivered to the rep after every round. It is his artifact, in his hands, within minutes of the last word of the round.

The manager's use

Coaching from the grade, not the story

Ask a rep how an appointment went and you get a story. Put his scorecard on the table and the conversation starts at the exact step that leaked. Owners on this track build one habit: scorecards come to the Monday meeting and to one-on-ones, the way fighters bring tape.

One honest note, because owners ask: there is no manager dashboard in Spar today, and this page will not pretend there is. The scorecard lives with the rep. What puts it in front of you is the culture you build around it — the meeting that opens on one, every week, until bringing it is just what your team does.

The grade is already being written

Build the meeting around it, and coaching stops being guesswork.
