What a Bad Rep Runs You

This page will not hand you an industry statistic — those get invented often enough to be worthless. Your numbers are sitting in your own books, and they are worse than any statistic. Run them.

The worksheet

Four lines, your figures

Line one: the appointments. How many sat appointments did your weakest rep run last season? You know the count — your board kept it.

Line two: the investment per appointment. What it runs you to put a rep in that home — the lead, the truck, the hours. Your figure, from your books, not ours.

Line three: the ones that never had a chance. The appointments where the steps got skipped, where a decision maker was never in the room, where the objection got argued with instead of diagnosed. You rode along for some of them. You know roughly how many.

Line four: multiply it out. That is one season, one rep — before you count the recruiting round and the training round you ran to replace the last one.

The comparison

Then set training next to it

Now put the training investment on the other side of the ledger, in published numbers: a Corner tier is $199/mo for up to five reps; Stable is $449/mo for up to fifteen. Whatever your worksheet produced, it was not written in numbers that small.

The question was never what training runs you. Your worksheet just answered what not training already did.

Run your numbers

Then run your team on a system, and run the worksheet again next season.

Spar Teams: Corner — up to 5 reps, $199/mo. Stable — up to 15 reps, $449/mo. Franchise — up to 35 reps, $799/mo. Pay annually and two months are free; past 35 seats, email and we’ll set up a custom arrangement. The tiers differ by seats, not by content — every rep gets the full Spar platform.
