Harder than at the door, because everything the doorstep shows you for free — the house, the product, the street — is invisible at an event. The documented rule: the scrubbing process is different at events; you don't know their address, how many windows they have, or how old their roof is, so you stay assumptive and listen very carefully to what the homeowner is saying.
The short answer
Then you call the call center from the booth, hand the homeowner over with a full introduction — names, product, age of the roof — and let the scheduler confirm the information while the homeowner is standing there.
How it runs
At the door, the house corrects your assumptions. At an event, nothing does — a wrong address or a missed spouse is discovered by the rep, in the driveway, at appointment time. That is why the event scrub runs slower and more exact than the door version, and why listening is the stated skill: every fact on the pad came out of the homeowner's mouth, and the scrub's job is to catch each one the first time it's said.
